Step Back in Time: Vienna Heritage Celebration

Join us in the charming riverside town of Vienna, Maryland for a day that brings history to life and ends with a spectacular fireworks show over the Nanticoke!

Explore Vienna’s Historic Treasures

From 3:00–4:00 pm, hop aboard a tram tour through downtown Vienna or join the walking tour at 3:30 pm. Both museums will be open 2:30 – 4:00 pm. Along the way, you’ll discover homes and landmarks marked with custom-designed house signs that share each site’s fascinating story—from 18th-century taverns and doctor’s residences to the former home of Governor Thomas Holliday Hicks, who helped keep Maryland in the Union during the Civil War.

Live Music on the Waterfront

From 4:00–7:00 pm, the celebration continues with live music by Golden Touch. Bring a blanket or chair, relax by the water, and enjoy the sounds of summer against the backdrop of Vienna’s historic streets.

Fireworks Over the Nanticoke

Thanks to generous community support, the night will end in dazzling fashion with fireworks at 7:30 pm, lighting up the Nanticoke River and closing out the day with a true small-town spectacle.
